ASK® LYSE R-17
PURPOSE

The ASK LYSE R-17 is, a lysing reagent, used on the cell analyzer (COULTER T, JT, STKR, STKS, MAXM) for WBC differential counting and for the detection of hemoglobin (Hb).

ASK® LYSE R-17

PRINCIPLE

The principle of WBC differential counting was the COULTER Principle, sometimes called the Electronic Impedance Principle, invented by Wallace Coulter in 1974.

The principle of hemoglobindetection is hemoglobin bind selectively with potassium cyanide. The increase in absorbance of the resulting hemiglobincyanide
(cyanmethemoglobin) complex, read at 540nm, is proportional to the hemoglobin (Hb)   concentration.
