ASK® ALBUMIN
PURPOSE
The ASK ALBUMIN reagent is, an end point method, used for the quantitative determination of albumin concentration in serum.
PRINCIPLE
The principle of ASK ALBUMIN is serum albumin binds selectively to the dye bromcresol green (BCG) at pH 4.2. The increase in absorbance of the resulting albumin-BCG complex, read at 630nm, is proportional to the albumin concentration.
